Powerful performance, lower tailpipe emissions
The RX 450h+ seamlessly blends powerful electrified performance with low fuel consumption.
With front and rear electric motors delivering 227kW of combined power, this Plug-in Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6.5 seconds.
Its advanced lithium-ion battery acts as the primary power source for urban driving, achieving an EV driving range of up to 65km (NEDC)2 and average fuel-consumption of 1.3L/100 kms3 based on the NEDC combined test cycle.
Convenient charging
The RX 450h+ supports Alternating Current (AC) Type 2 charging. Simply plug in at home or at the growing network of public charging stations.
For added security, the charging port lid locks automatically with door locking and unlocking.
Equipped with a 7 kW onboard traction battery charger, it takes around 7.5 hours to fully charge using a standard AC Type 2 charger at a maximum charging current of 10A or approximately 2.5 hours at 32A, found at public charging outlets.4

The Benefits of Plug-in Hybrid

How Plug-in Hybrid works
Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) combine a conventional petrol engine with an electric motor, powered by a rechargeable battery. This battery can be recharged through either the hybrid system, or connecting to an electricity supply. In EV mode, the RX 450h+ can perform as a pure electric vehicle. When the battery depletes, it then combines petrol with renowned Lexus Hybrid technology.
Powertrain modes for every journey
The RX 450h+ is designed to offer maximum versatility, allowing drivers to seamlessly switch between four distinct driving modes - EV Priority, Auto EV/HV, HV, and Battery-Charging - at the press of a button. In Auto EV/HV mode, if the accelerator is fully pressed, or if more power is required temporarily such as for sudden acceleration, the engine will start, enabling powerful HV acceleration.
