What is the Lexus Connected App?

The Lexus Connected App2 is a smartphone app that connects you to all things that Lexus Connected Services has to offer. To learn more, visit: lexus.com.au/owners/apps/lexus-connected-app.

Where do I find my Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)?

Your vehicle's unique VIN is a 17 digit alphanumeric code, and can be found in the following locations:

  1. On the driver's or passenger's side door jamb
  2. On the lower right corner of the dashboard by looking through the windshield
  3. Printed on your vehicle's registration certificate or retail delivery card located inside Service & Warranty booklet
  4. In the index at the back of the Owner's manual.
What is Lexus Connected Services?

Lexus Connected Services are an advanced suite of technologies designed to focus on safety and security, convenience and comfort. Available in Lexus vehicles equipped with an active Connected Services system1.

Which models are equipped with Lexus Connected Services?

Lexus is progressively launching Connected Services across its model range.

Please contact your preferred Lexus dealer for more information.

How do I set up my Connected Services?

Lexus Connected Service Safety Features are always intended to be active even if data connectivity is restricted via the Lexus Connected App. We will collect vehicle information including location and may collect voice recordings if these safety features are triggered. These services can only be disabled by contacting your preferred Lexus dealer or the Lexus Customer Assistance Centre on 1800 023 009.

Additional Connected Services can be set up and managed by adding your vehicle to Lexus Connected App.

You’ll need your vehicle VIN and the app will guide you through the right steps to verify your ownership.

What is the cost of Lexus Connected Services?

If you have complimentary periods of Lexus Connected Services1, you have the flexibility to choose whether you would like to continue to keep relevant services active with a paid subscription. Subscription prices vary depending on the package and different complimentary periods apply depending on the package and enabled DCM, which depends on the vehicle you drive.

For Lexus Dealer demonstrative models or second-hand Connected vehicles, the remaining complimentary period balance will be automatically transferred to the new owner.

Does Lexus Connected Services require my mobile phone or phone’s data to operate?

No. Lexus Connected Services utilises the vehicle's inbuilt communication device to connect to the mobile network.

 

How do I renew my subscription?

Manage your subscription using the following steps:

  1. Open the Lexus Connected App and navigate to ‘Shop’.
  2. Select ‘Manage ’Subscriptions’.
  3. Select ‘Add Service’.
  4. Locate the package you wish to manage and select it.
  5. Follow the steps to complete the renewal process.
How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time via the Lexus Connected App. See steps below:

  1. Open the Lexus Connected App and navigate to ‘Shop’.
  2. Select ‘Manage Subscriptions’.
  3. Locate the package you wish to manage and select it.
  4. For paid services, select ‘Manage Subscription’, then choose ‘Cancel’. For complimentary services, simply select ‘Cancel’.

Should you wish to renew at any time, simply return to the same section.

  • For trial services: select any available trial and tap ‘Activate Trial’.
  • For paid services: tap ‘Add Service’ and follow the steps to subscribe.

What devices does the Lexus Connected App support? 

The Lexus Connected App2 supports the following:

  • Apple iPhones operating on iOS 17 or higher. 
  • Android phones operating on Android 10.0 or higher. 
Which smartwatches are compatible with the Lexus Connected App?

The Lexus Connected App6 supports the following:

  • Apple® iPhones operating on iOS 17 or higher and WatchOS 10.0+
  • Android phones operating on  Android10.0 or higher and WearOS (watch) device running Wear OS 3 or higher.

Samsung Gear smartwatches are not supported as they run on a proprietary operating system called Tizen®. However, customers with a Samsung smartphone can pair with some Android smartwatch brands to allow for the use but remain incompatible for the use of certain features.

Many other smartwatch brands, such as Fitbit, Jawbone, Garmin, etc. also run on proprietary operating systems but remain incompatible for the use of certain features.
