The All-new ES& LC 500 Special Edition
Stunning Lexus models set for glamorous Australian debut
Two stunning new Lexus models – one reimagining sedan luxury and style, the other the pinnacle in sports coupe design and exclusivity – will make their Australian debuts together in the first week of November.
The new-generation Lexus ES luxury sedan will star alongside the Lexus LC 500 Special Edition Coupe as the pair make their own fashion statements at Flemington Racecourse during the week of glamour, colour and excitement that is the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
Thousands of spectators entering the famous Birdcage Enclosure will lay eyes on the stunning duo: the ES expressing the latest in four-door style, comfort and refinement; the LC 500 Special Edition Coupe the ultimate in Takumi craftsmanship and emotive Japanese design.
Lexus Australia Chief Executive John Pappas said the all-new ES and LC 500 Special Edition Coupe are the latest expression of the luxury lifestyle brand.
“These amazing cars define today’s Lexus. Each represents an innovative approach to making luxury personal, through emotive design and anticipating the needs of guests with an unrivalled occupant experience,” Mr. Pappas said.
“The all-new ES introduces an elevated level of occupant luxury with a spacious cabin crafted around its occupants, together with advanced technologies to enrich the human connection.
“Next generation Lexus battery-electric powertrain technology in the all-new ES also delivers a supreme driving experience, where refinement and performance work in perfect harmony.”
When the all-new ES sedan arrives in Australia in 2026, it will offer customers a refined driving experience, featuring a spacious, thoughtfully designed cabin and the choice of the latest in efficient hybrid-electric or battery-electric powertrain technologies.
Inside, the redesigned ES brings the comfort of a luxury suite out onto the open road, with every element of the cabin meticulously crafted to enhance passenger comfort and a heightened sensory experience.
The all-new ES will initially launch in Australia with a smooth and silky BEV powertrain offering up to 252kW of combined power on the range-topping ES 500e.
The Lexus LC 500 Special Edition Coupe – the only one of its kind bound for Australia – elevates the breathtaking appeal of the flagship Lexus sports car with bespoke Oborogin grey metallic matte finish, black accented exterior features, special 21-inch alloy wheels and fixed rear spoiler1.
The emotive two-door continues the legacy of the LC Inspiration Series – special-edition versions of the flagship Lexus coupe showcasing the ultimate in Takumi craftsmanship, sophisticated Japanese design and coveted rarity.
The single LC 500 Special Edition Coupe is expected to be joined later in 2026 by the equally stunning LC 500 Special Edition Convertible, with Australian allocation restricted to single digits.
The coupe’s doors open to reveal a stunning black and white interior with special-edition leather steering wheel, instrument panel and door trims. Ornamental touches and front semi aniline and rear synthetic leather seat trim completes the opulence and delicate surface quality1.
Mr. Pappas said that following the Lexus Melbourne Cup, the eye-catching luxury coupe will join the growing fleet of Lexus vehicles – including the Lexus LFA and high-performance F models – in drive days and brand promotions across the country.
“The Lexus LC 500 Special Edition Coupe will be the most-exclusive Lexus introduced into Australia. It is a showcase of enduring design and testament to Lexus craftsmanship, elegance and performance.”
Befitting a car of this classic standing, the LC 500 Special Edition Coupe is powered by a lustful and sonorous naturally aspirated, 32-valve, DOHC, 5.0-litre V8 producing 351kW and 540Nm; augmented with a syrupy 10-speed automatic transmission and active exhaust system to make the most of the engine’s 7,100rpm redline.
Both vehicles will be on display at Flemington Racecourse during the Melbourne Cup Carnival which is again expected to attract more than 250,000 attendees over the four days of racing.
