GX set to break new ground for Lexus in Australia
Lexus will literally break new ground when the highly anticipated GX off-roader goes on sale in Australia, headlined with the GX 550 Overtrail, the most rugged adventure-focused Lexus yet.
Positioned either side of Overtrail are the more family-focused Luxury and Sports Luxury grades – all three powered by a strong V6 twin turbo engine developing 260kW and 650Nm for responsive performance and great towing ability.
Luxury and Sports Luxury come in seven-seat configuration to offer maximum passenger and storage flexibility, while Overtrail limits occupants to five but has the extra load capacity desired for long journeys deep into tough Australian terrain.
GX is the third Lexus to debut in an all-new vehicle segment over the last six months in Australia for the luxury brand, following on from the launch of the LM luxury mover last December and the chic, urban LBX compact luxury SUV in March.
The local range of Lexus vehicles has never been stronger since the brand debuted in Australia in 1990; with GX extending the product portfolio to 10 distinctive models to meet the diverse needs of more Lexus customers than ever before.
